Prepare for an interview
Got an interview? Tell us which job and when. You’ll get the questions it’s likely to ask (built from the job post and your résumé), a readiness score based on what you’ve actually practised, and a plan to the day.

Step by step
- 1
Add your interview
On AI Interview, press “Prepare for an interview” (or “Add an interview” above Upcoming interviews). Pick a saved job — or paste the job post or its link — choose the round, and add the date if you know it (optional: it gives you a day-by-day plan and a reminder). Press “Prepare”. In about 20 seconds the job is in the interview stage with its likely questions.
- 2
Start practising straight away
Press “Start a voice interview” in the same dialog to rehearse those questions now, or “See your prep” to look through them first. Moving a job to Interviewing on its page or on the Applications board asks the same questions.
- 3
Read your readiness score
The job’s Interview tab shows a readiness score out of 100: likely questions practised (35%), the quality of your latest answers (30%), stories for the competencies the job tests (20%) and your prep checklist (15%). Ticking boxes alone can’t get you there — practising does.
- 4
Do the next best step
“Next best step” is the one thing that raises your readiness most right now — practise three likely questions, redo your weakest answers, add a missing story, or finish the checklist — with a button to do it.
- 5
Work through the likely questions
Questions are grouped (Behavioral, Role & technical, Your résumé, Motivation & fit). Open one to see what they’re assessing, how to answer and which of your stories fit. Each shows your latest score or “Not practised”, with a “Practise” button.
- 6
Back up your claims
Claim check lists the lines on your résumé an interviewer is likely to dig into, with the questions they’ll ask. Make sure you can explain each one.
- 7
Research the company
Press “Research company” for a brief — products, news, culture, interview tips and questions to ask — with every source linked. “Questions to ask them” lists smart ones for this role.
- 8
After the interview
Once the date passes, “After the interview” moves to the top. Press “Add notes”, record who interviewed you and the questions they asked, then “Save notes”. “Write thank-you email” drafts a personal note, and the questions they asked are ready to practise for the next round.
Questions
- Do I need a date?
- No. Without one you still get the questions and the readiness score; add the date later under Next step on the job for a day-by-day plan and a reminder.
- Where do the likely questions come from?
- From the job post and your résumé (or Career Vault). If your vault is empty, add your experience first — the questions are built from it.
