Fix your résumé with the checklist

The Checklist is your résumé coach: it scores the résumé live and lists what to fix, most valuable first. It’s the same scoring as the homepage, inside the editor.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the Checklist

It’s the first section tab in the editor. The top shows your score and how many checks pass, for example “14 of 18 checks passed”, grouped by area: Contact, Structure, Bullet quality, Quantified impact, Summary and Length.

  2. 2

Fix one check at a time

Click a check — say “Phone number” — and the right form opens with the cursor in the right field. Checks about bullets list the exact lines (“Numbers in over half your bullets” shows the bullets without a number); click one to jump to it. When it’s fixed it shows done; press “Next fix” to move on.

  3. 3

    Read why it matters

Every check says why recruiters care — for example “Many recruiters call to schedule a first screen.” Skip a check only if it truly doesn’t apply to you.

  4. 4

    Make bullets stronger

Each bullet shows a small quality marker as you type: action verb, specific, measurable. Hover a weak one and use “Improve bullet with AI” for stronger versions built from your own facts, with [placeholders] where a number is missing.

  5. 5

    Get a recruiter review (AI)

Press “Get recruiter review” for feedback from three perspectives — a recruiter, a hiring manager and an industry expert — on whether they’d move you forward and why. “Re-run” after changes.

  6. 6

Then match it to the job

A great résumé still needs to fit the job. Add the job to Applications and use “Tailor to job” to cover its keywords honestly.
